My dear friend and stamping buddy Carol and her husband Gene
are celebrating a remarkable event: 52
years of a very happy marriage! So
naturally, a card with a little extra oomph was called for . . .
In
this case, the "oomph" translates into beading, which both Carol and
I love to use in a variety of ways.
Here, random strands of it are hung between the weeping willow
branches. In real life, the beads hang
freely and the willow leaves glisten over the stenciled dimensional leaves.
On
wedding anniversary cards, I always like to add a dual element to emphasize the
purpose of the card: to honor a loving
partnership that has thrived for a number of years . . . hence the two butterflies. Thanks to a glitter marker,
they shine - just like my dear friends Carol and Gene and their very solid
marriage . . . HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
