Happy Anniversary

On wedding anniversary cards, I always like to use two design elements.  Hence the two flowers . . .

I used my favorite Foamiran for these because three seconds with the heat gun makes the petals curve up.  They stay that way permanently – even after a coast to coast ride through the post office machines.  Amazing!

This one started out as a shadow box layout . . .

 . . . but the frame was too narrow to keep the folded side strips that pop up the fame from showing.  I could have just used pop dots to do the job, but I liked the look of this flush mounting, so I went with that.

For some odd reason, I glued the focal point panel off-center.  So I added some text along the left side and bottom to balance things out.  Hope it looks intentional, and doesn’t scream boo boo cover-up . . .

Hummus

Blue Ribbon #9     RECIPE CATEGORY

Even though mushrooms have little to do with hummus, I still thought they made a charming and organic accent to this recipe card . . .

As it is indeed a recipe card, I glued a collapsible cardstock easel to the back.  It folds flat for mailing but quickly assembles to prop up the recipe for easy reading while assembling the ingredients.  Easy peasy!  It also looks great when kept on display.
