With Deepest Sympathy

While I love mixing patterns, there are a few guidelines worth paying attention to . . .


The main idea I used here involved putting a blank layer between the two patterned pieces.  This gives the eye a peaceful place to rest before moving on.  You can make a variety of patterns play together nicely by using this simple trick!
