Love

Here’s my second attempt with crackle paste – the coloring leaves a lot to be desired, but as I’d hoped, the crackle texture is a little more pronounced . . .

I’ve used the tree die cut before but until now, it never occurred to me to add some texture to it.
I didn’t think of it until after the card was otherwise finished, so things got a little tricky during the application.  But I managed!  Not having any brown texture paste, I stirred in some chocolate color from a re-inker.  Never having done that before, I was quite delighted with the results and will be pulling that one out of my bag of tricks numerous times in future.

The pearls were originally blue, but it was the wrong shade.  So I adjusted things with a Copic marker – love how I can “fix” any color with them!
